In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of top news and magazines applications on the Android platform in Slovakia showed varied trends. Here's a closer look at the top five applications, based on data from Sensor Tower.

X (Formerly Twitter), published by X Corp., experienced fluctuations in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads peaked at around 1K in mid-January and again in late March. Revenue also saw a notable peak at approximately $564 in late February. Active users fluctuated between 48K and 66K throughout the quarter.

Hindi News by Dainik Bhaskar maintained a steady trend in downloads, with figures ranging from 160 to 290 per week. Active user numbers remained stable, hovering around 5K.

Denník N, a local favorite, saw revenue peaking at approximately $4.5K in late February. Downloads were highest in January, reaching 849, while active users consistently ranged from 5K to 5.6K.

Way2News Daily News App showed a modest download range between 76 and 189 weekly. Active users climbed to over 16K in late February, indicating a strong user engagement despite no revenue generation.

Finally, Public Local News - Shuru App had a gradual increase in downloads, peaking at 175 in mid-February. Active users remained consistent, slightly increasing towards the end of the quarter.
